As always, great service from an honest, trustworthy and totally technically competant shop. Our old car's air conditioner stopped working last year. We had the compressor replaced at Ponder's, and it stopped working almost a year later while still under warranty. They ran tests on the compressor, explained clearly what they had diagnosed as the actual root of the problem and fixed it in one day.

Outstanding service, worked me in last minute in a pinch and got me squared away within hours. Even took time to drive me back to my job after dropping my car off. 10/10

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer Limited that only has 70k miles. The check engine light came on and it was a P0420 and P0430 code. We recently moved to this area and have always serviced our vehicles at the dealership so we started there. Long Story short, we were not happy with the service there, the communication was extremely frustrating, and the estimates for replacing the catalytic was very high. Catalytic converters can get expensive, so I wanted to purchase the parts myself to save money and avoid markups. I purchased the parts on a great deal from carparts.com and started looking for a mechanic to provide the labor. I turned to the web and social media to search for some local mechanics. To my surprise, many mechanics would not use customer provided parts and would only do the catalytic if they bought the parts. Again, those estimates were very high and I did not need a top of the line catalytic. I found Ponder Auto and they came to the rescue! Brian (the owner) could not have been nicer, and he provided a reasonable labor only rate. We scheduled the appointment, and I dropped the car off. The job was done professionally, and communication was top notch. I was also able to get the old parts back and was able to recycle the catalytic to recoup some of the costs. I couldn't be happier with Ponder Auto, and I highly recommend them. I love supporting a local family business.
